The Epilepsy Foundation is a registered NDIS provider and is currently delivering services for people with epilepsy in areas where the NDIS has already rolled out. If you are already receiving support through the Epilepsy Foundation it’s a good idea to ensure these are included in your NDIS Plan.
Alternatively, if you are in the beginning stages and planning for the NDIS, consider including Epilepsy Foundation services and support as part of your NDIS Plan. Depending on your circumstances we may not be able to provide services to you for free, but if it’s included in your NDIS Plan this will cover the cost of supports and services provided by us.
Our Epilepsy Support Workers are available on our InfoLine (1300 761 487) to speak with you if you have any questions about this or would like assistance with NDIS planning for Epilepsy Foundation services.
NDIS-funded services available through the Epilepsy Foundation are:
- Assistance to develop an Epilepsy Management Plan (and an Emergency Medication Management Plan if required)
- Provision of epilepsy training (including midazolam training if relevant) for you and your family
- Provision of epilepsy training (including midazolam training if relevant) for people in your support network, such as disability support workers.
